🦷 A healthy smile starts with strong habits! Our dentist, Dr. Luis, visits the students at Colegio Susanna Wesley multiple times a year to check their brushing technique and reinforce proper dental habits. His work not only teaches children how to care for their teeth now, but also to mantain a good oral health for the future. The results have been amazing: while fillings are still necessary, the number of tooth extractions has significantly decreased. A clear sign of the impact this initiative has had! 😁✨#saludypaz #HealthySmiles #DentalCare #oralhealtheducation #PreventionMatters ... See MoreSee Less

A Journey of GrowthEvery year, volunteers join Salud y Paz on medical, dental, or construction mission trips, bringing care, compassion, and a lasting impact to the communities we work with. Guatemala has a way of changing us. Many return home with a new perspective, inspired to continue their journey of service. One of these volunteers is Marisa, whose first experience with Salud y Paz in 2024 left a lasting impression. Before returning in 2025, she shared her story:Hi! My name is Marisa Camuto. I’m with the All In Guatemala medical team. I had the honor and privilege to be part of the group this past March 2024. When the opportunity came up, I was nervous. I was in my last year of nursing school, stressed, and unsure if I was ready.Still, I took a leap of faith and traveled with the group during spring break. I asked our Medical Director every question—Will I be safe? What will we do? Do people accept foreign help? Even with answers, I was nervous. I only knew one person and was traveling alone for the first time. The trip was emotional. I was humbled, excited, and even confused seeing how happy people were despite their struggles. I missed the first clinical day due to food poisoning, which made me feel guilty, but I bounced back the next day, ready to help.At the clinic, we were welcomed by a line of people waiting for care. In no time, we were set up and treating patients. I found so much joy in every interaction. Everyone I spoke with was kind and eager to learn. Each clinic gave me a chance to grow and appreciate this work more deeply.By the last day, I was amazed at how one week could shift me. I learned to do more with less, built relationships with the Salud y Paz team, and left inspired. I didn’t want to go. I already knew I’d be back. Since returning, I’ve recruited three new volunteers for 2025 and plan to make an even greater impact.I’m forever grateful for this experience—and for what’s still to come. ... See MoreSee Less
